Birefringence is a jaw droppingly beautiful polish that effortlessly stops people in their tracks. Planning on having a meaningful face-to-face conversation with a friend? Plan on an abrupt derailment as soon as he/she notices what your nails are up to. Remember though, it’s not their fault; you were warned!
Birefringence shifts through an array of incredible blues, purples, reds, oranges, yellows, and even subtle greens!
Birefringence is part of ILNP’s Ultra Chrome® class of chromatic nail polishes; formulated to apply directly to the nail without the need for a base color.
Fully opaque after 2 coats!

Unique and beautiful!
I’ve never owned a polish like this! The shift is absolutely insane. My fiance even said it reminds him of the high end car paints they use. It’s mesmerizing and indescribable! I can’t even put into words how neat this is. Especially for a non UV polish! The formula is a little thicker than the jelly-ier ILNP polishes I am used to so it was a bit of a learning curve on my part but the end result was insane!

Blue-Purple-Red-Orange-Yellow Multichrome
Birefringence is a blue-purple-red-orange-yellow shifting multichrome. Pictures don’t do this gem justice! I understand now why Birefringence is one of ILNP’s most iconic shades. Great formula. Worn in 3 coats on my middle finger. (The other polishes are Enchantment, Lily, and Stardust.)

There’s a reason it’s so highly rated. As far as all the multi chromes I own, I use this and Cygnus Loop the most. You need both!
