What is your vegan / cruelty free policy?
ILNP absolutely does not test our products on animals nor do we purchase materials from suppliers that do.
We make a conscious effort to avoid purchasing animal/insect derived materials like carmine and guanine/pearl, etc. as there are plenty of synthetic alternatives that perform the same or even better.
Are your nail polishes non-toxic?
Yes! All ILNP nail polishes are 7-Free, non-toxic, and totally safe to use! They DO NOT contain Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, or Xylene.
What does 7-Free mean?
7-Free means that in addition to not containing the “Toxic Trio” of Toluene, Formaldehyde, or Dibutyl Phthalate, our nail polishes are also free from Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, and Xylene.
These ingredients were previously used in most nail polish formulations until recent studies found them to be potentially harmful or irritable to humans.
While these chemicals aren’t illegal to use in nail polish (although California law requires special labeling if used), most large brands have already moved over to “safer” formulas at the urge of educated consumers as well as organizations that campaign for safe cosmetics.
